You read that right. Catacombs, right under your nose (or feet) in Indianapolis. These catacombs are underground tunnels that stretch approximately 20,000 square feet beneath what is now the Indianapolis City Market.

This absolutely amazing cave system was discovered back in 1883 by a couple of children. They've been doing tours ever since. It's home to all kinds of fascinating formations called speleothems; you might know them as stalactites, stalagmites, and other such cave "drippings."
