This three-tiered bookshop in Chicago’s Wicker Park neighborhood has one of the largest collections of new and used books in the state. In the basement exists a vault that belonged to the business that rented the space prior to the bookshop. In that underground vault is where the mystery stories are held, adding to their flair for the dramatic.
A few rules stand in Myopic Books. Visitors must check their bags upon arrival, restack the books they’ve flipped through, put their cell phones away, and treat Leonard, the store cat, with the utmost respect.
