Village Smithy In Colorado Is Housed Inside An Old 1904 Blacksmith Shop

While Colorado is home to more timeless establishments than we can count, a certain few stand out in terms of both their history and their incredible food, like the iconic Village Smithy Restaurant, which is housed inside an old 1904 blacksmith shop:

Located in the charming town of Carbondale, the Village Smithy is home to "Real food. Real people," and a whole lot more!

Opened in 1975, the Village Smithy is a popular destination thanks to not only its legendary breakfast, lunch, and dinner menu, but also for its comfortable no-frills ambiance and welcoming staff.

Housed inside a former blacksmith shop (turned school turned pet store turned newspaper office turned, finally, restaurant), the Village Smithy still boasts many of its original 1904 features, including plain brick walls and antique fixtures.

While the history of the building is reason enough to visit, the food is the star of the show, beginning with stick-to-your-ribs breakfast favorites like pancakes and waffles, Huevos Rancheros, and various skillets.

Brunch is by far the most important meal of the day, so be sure to also frequent the Village Smithy for its tasty French toast, Black Angus Sirloin and eggs, and Balsamic Avocado Toast.

When it comes to lunch, the Village Smithy knows how to do it right, too, as evidenced by their made-to-order burgers, sandwiches, wraps, and salads. Yum!
