There’s also the Natchez-Vidalia Bridge, which is the tallest in the state. As remarkable as it is tall, the bridge is a true architectural gem. Take a look:

But while most are familiar with the bridge, many don’t realize it’s the tallest in Mississippi. And that makes sense since its “above the water” height is just 125’, while its total height extends beyond that.

Its name is another aspect of the bridge that’s somewhat of a secret. Though almost always referred to as the Natchez-Vidalia Bridge, its actual name is Mississippi River Bridge.
