Raging Waves Waterpark In Yorkville, Illinois Has The Best Waterslide

If you’re looking for the best waterslide in Illinois, come to Yorkville. There’s a waterpark here with more slides than you’ll know what to do with, and you’re bound to find your new favorite.

There is one in particular that gets people most excited, but with more than half a dozen to choose from, everyone has one that they think is the bee’s knees.

Raging Waves Waterpark in the northern portion of the state is the largest waterpark in Illinois. It is known for its numerous, thrilling waterslides, luxurious cabanas, and a lazy river that is the centerpiece of it all.

With so many slides at this amazing park, it can be difficult to choose the best. According to the park's website, there are only a couple that reach a thrill factor of five out of five, and the one that seems the most fun is The Boomerang.

Guests ride an innertube with up to four friends. The ride starts by shooting out of a slide and into this large funnel. The tube then glides back and forth, making you feel like you're a boomerang until you reach the pool of water below.

For a slide that is more ideal for a solo or couple experience, The Cyclone will appease. This unique waterslide sends you super fast through the spin cycle as you're flushed down a huge bowl.

Participants exit safely at the bottom after experiencing a rush that the website categorizes as a 4.5 out of five on the thrill factor scale. If you're an adrenaline junkie, you'll be getting back in line for more.

In total, there are about eight large waterslides to enjoy at this giant park. Some feature high altitudes and long plummets that get you up to high speeds while others glide and twist you around. Still, there are some that offer wonderful views while others encave you in darkness until you drop out the other end.

A full day of fun can be had at this excellent waterpark. In addition to slides, you'll find everything from concessions, to cabanas and so much more to make your summer day great.
