This Beloved Virginia State Park Was Just Designated As A Dark Sky Park And You Have To Visit

The International Dark-Sky Association recognizes parks around the globe that aren’t affected by the all-too-common problem of light pollution. East of the Mississippi River, it’s especially rare to find a park without interference from night lights. In March, James River State Park was officially designated as a Dark Sky Park, becoming the second park in Virginia with this designation and the 44th park in the United States.
