The Oldest Church In North Dakota Dates Back To The 1800s And You Need To See It

Here’s a fun fact for you: North Dakota has the most churches per capita in all of the US. There are many beautiful churches across the plains, some large and grand and others small yet gorgeous in their own way. Many of these churches are quite old, and some congregations even older, but none are as old as this specific church in the middle of nowhere. It’s well over a century old and everyone should see it. The Glencoe Sloan Church is still being used by the original congregation today, making it the oldest in the state. The oldest congregation in North Dakota began in 1818 in Pembina, the oldest town.
