Washington isn’t a small state and, unfortunately, some of our most beautiful spots require quite a trek (and possibly several modes of transportation) to reach. That being said, the vast majority of them are worth the journey. If you have the chance to see the gorgeous destinations on this list, you’ll never regret making the time.
The Long Beach Peninsula is beautiful, but it's pretty isolated. But don't talk yourself out of making the drive, because this little seaside city is delightful (not to mention those amazing ocean sunsets).
This tiny community in Chelan County is only accessible by boat or lengthy hike, so it's safe to say it's a remote destination. But it's absolutely perfect for those times when you need to get away from it all.

Hobuck Beach sits hidden behind Cape Flattery at the very northwestern tip of the continental United States. It's peaceful, secluded, and absolutely breathtaking.

Ozette is located on the northwestern coast of the Olympic Peninsula along a long stretch of undeveloped coastline. The lake also happens to be a place rich in history -- a well-preserved 300-year-old village that had been covered by a mudslide, including 50,000 artifacts, was discovered here.

Tucked up in the northeast corner of the state, Metaline Falls is a tiny town most Washingtonians have never even heard of. And while you won't find hundreds of attractions here, you'll be surrounded by natural beauty. The town does host several events and festivals throughout the year, and Gardner Cave is definitely worth checking out.
Diablo Lake is located in the North Cascades, and at best, reaching the overlook requires a lengthy day trip. Still, it's absolutely worth making the drive on a clear and sunny day, for obvious reasons.
There is absolutely nothing disappointing about this stunning spot, which is located at the extreme southwestern corner of Washington. Cape Disappointment may be one of the foggiest places in the country, but it's still stunning.
Considering you actually have to go into Canada to get to Point Roberts, it's safe to say that it's not easy to reach. And while it's worth going just to say you experienced such a journey, the town itself is actually quite charming.

Hiking to the Enchantments is certainly not a feasible task for all Washingtonians -- even the closest lake requires about a 7 mile hike to reach, and if you want to see them all, you'll have to backpack. However, if you're able, they're absolutely spectacular.
