It should definitely be every Nevadan’s mission to visit every single one of our charming small towns. But where to start? Gabbs is a quiet little town with a population of just 269 people. The town is most notable for its close proximity to the wildly unique Berlin-Ichthyosaur State Park which is situated just 20 miles east of town. Here you can check out the old mining town of Berlin that contains some fascinating historic structures and the old fossils of a giant marine reptile known as the Ichthyosaur.
Located on the eastern edge of the state, Baker is a quaint town of just 385 people. A lot of people use it as a gateway into Great Basin National Park, but you would be remiss if you didn't take the time to explore all the treasures hiding in this town. Stop for a bite to eat at Kerouac's and spend the night at the Border Inn before perusing the natural beauty that can be found within this lovely community.

Goldfield may have a population of just 311 people, but this is by far one of the most unique towns in the state and it's a must for any adventurer. This is a town that seems to be frozen in time. Once considered the largest town in Nevada, there are remnants all over Goldfield to remind you of the city it used to be.

The historic town of Goodsprings can be found in the southern region of our state. This ex-mining town suffered the same fate as many of Nevada's old mining communities after the silver and gold began to dwindle. However, it's still home to around 230 people.
