From the beloved rapids of the Cossatot River to the challenging drops in Richland Creek, Arkansas certainly isn’t lacking in white water adventures. The Natural State does have one particular trip that everyone can enjoy. Avid white water rafters and casual floaters can agree that Big Piney Creek is a perfect Arkansas getaway. The 10-mile trip appeals to every skill level and has a little bit of everything from rafting and floating to camping and fishing.
One water adventure that every Arkansan needs to take is on Big Piney Creek.
Depending on rains, the II+ rapids feature wave-trains, surf spots, and ledges. You know you'll have a good time with rapid names like "Roller Coaster," "Surfing Hole," and "Cascades of Extinction."

Optimal levels are between 3 and 5 feet for experienced rafters.
One of the more popular put-ins is located on the Helton Farm. They charge $3/boat, which can be paid at their house to the right of the field accessing the creek. The farm is about a mile north of the Treat Cemetery. For directions from Long Pool Rec Area to the cemetery, use this map.
