The first time I head about axe-throwing, I thought it must be a joke. I pictured two guys at a backyard barbecue, and one says to the other, “Here, hold my beer…” and 10 minutes later an ambulance is on the way. It turns out that axe-throwing is a new craze that’s sweeping the nation, and it’s a safe, fun activity that you definitely want to try. You have to check this out!
Social Axe Throwing has two locations. The original location is in Ogden; the newest location is in Salt Lake City.
The address for the Ogden location is 2236 Washington Blvd., Ogden, UT 84401. You'll find the new SLC location at 1154 S. 300 W., Salt Lake City, UT 84101.
Social Axe Throwing has "lanes," kind of like bowling. But with axes and wooden targets.
Just show up wearing close-toed shoes and comfortable clothing. A coach will show you how to throw the axe, and give you a few safety tips. This is a new skill you never thought you wanted to learn...until now!

Before you start thinking that this is one of those millenial things that people like you would never do...think again! This is the perfect activity for girl's night...
This little girl was just visiting the booth at the Ogden Farmer's Market last summer, and we're sure her parents were right by her side while she was holding that axe. Kids must be 15 years or older to axe-throw, no exceptions. Leave the little ones home with a sitter, and enjoy an afternoon or evening of axe-throwing without the little darlings.
A Main Event is a reserved lane that allows your group to throw for two hours. A coach will show the group how to throw safely, then you'll enjoy throwing, laughing and having a great time together.
No problem! Walk-ins for single axe-throwers and groups up to 10 people are allowed, but you might want to call ahead to see how busy they are. Walk-ins are on a first come, first served basis.
