Who’s ready for spring? After many months of frigid temperatures and howling, icy winds, spring in South Dakota is welcomed with open arms. Here are nine things that most of us do to welcome the new season.

1. We put our sweaters away the minute the temperature hits 45 degrees... only to dig them back out for the snowstorm that inevitably hits in April.

2. But some of us are stubborn enough to wear those shorts and flip flops anyway.

3. We start dreaming of the sausage at Schmeckfest.
