Because Freeport is home to the most adorable McDonald's that ever existed.

Built in in the 1800s, this house has been around for more than 150 years!

The mansion was built by William Gore, a prominent merchant in the area.

And it was converted into Freeport's only McDonald's back in 1984.

Inside you'll find photos of what the area looked like back when the home was actually a home.

Because buildings must conform to the local aesthetic, the home was kept relatively the same - down to the inside dining room.

You can even order a classic Maine lobster roll, which is reported to be pretty good!

Even at night, this unique place has the look and feel of a classic Maine bed and breakfast.
