No matter how young or old, you can beat the heat this summer by visiting some of Wyoming’s epic waterparks. Recreation departments, aquatic centers, splash parks and community pools all provide that park-like feel with a variety of water activities. Here are 8 epic water venues in Wyoming that will take your summer to a whole new level.
1. Campbell County Parks and Recreation
Campbell County Parks and Recreation is located at 500 S. Gillette Avenue in Gillette. The center features a lazy river with toys and a zero-depth leisure pool with two water slides. The facility is open to the public and charges a daily use fee.
2. Casper Family Aquatic Center
Casper Family Aquatic Center is a fun way to spend a summer day. The center features an indoor water park with slides and splashing fountains. The City of Casper Recreation Division offers 4 outdoor pools and the indoor aquatic center, all with features such as lazy rivers, slides and spray features. The center charges daily rates for admission. The aquatic center is located at 1801 E. 4th Street in Casper.
3. Hellie's Tepee Pool
Hellie's Tepee Pool is located at 144 Tepee Street in Thermopolis. This facility features 1 indoor pool and 2 outdoor pools with slides, tubes and water basketball. Hellie's Tepee Pool does charge an admission fee.
4. Rock Springs Splash Pads
Rock Springs Splash Pads are located behind the Rock Springs Family Rec Center and at Garnet Park. Kids can enjoy the fun splashing features from 9 am to 9 pm, daily. There is no charge for the splash pads.
5. Cheyenne Aquatic Center
The Cheyenne Aquatic Center is located at 931 Martin Esquibel Street in Cheyenne. The Cheyenne Aquatic Center is an indoor pool in Lions Park. The pool features a lazy river, play features, climbing wall and 2 enclosed water slides. There is also a spray park located adjacent to the Cheyenne Aquatic Center. There are fees for both the Cheyenne Aquatic Center and the spray park.
6. Pinedale Aquatic Center
The Pinedale Aquatic Center is located at 535 N. Tyler Avenue in Pinedale. This facility features an indoor pool with spray features, waterslide and other fun features. There is an admission fee for adults and seniors. Youth and super seniors are free.
7. Green River Splash Park
Green River Splash Park is located in Evers Park in Green River, Wyoming. The splash park features a mushroom waterfall and other fun spray features. The spray park sits adjacent to a 1,200' long lazy river - tubing channel. The spray park is open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., seven days a week.
8. Star Plunge
Star Plunge is located at 115 Big Springs Drive in Thermopolis. This facility features 2 large pools, 3 water slides, 2 hot tubs, a vapor cave, 3 jacuzzis, 2 baby pools, a fountain waterfall and a high dive. Star Plunge does charge an admission fee.
