We all have to work, and so if you can really enjoy what you’re doing, your quality of life will be so much better. There are some truly awesome places to work in Wisconsin, if you are fortunate enough to land a job offer. Here are ten great places to work:
1. Green Bay Packers
Getting to work with the Packers in any capacity is a dream come true. Obviously, being paid millions of dollars and being a super famous athlete would be the coolest. But it would still be awesome to work in the front office in some capacity.
2. Kohl's Corporate Headquarters
Working at Kohl's Corporate Headquarters sounds like a dream. There's a brand new gym to work out in. Also enjoy on-site child care, bicycles to get around campus, and even umbrellas when it's raining. Awww.
3. Milwaukee County Zoo
Okay, raise your hand if you never thought about working with animals when you grew up. I thought so. This is basically the coolest job ever, as you get to interact with animals and also share your knowledge about these creatures with people in order that we keep their habitats safe.
4. Working at a golf course, like Whistling Straits
If you follow Wisconsin sports news at all, you know tons of athletic stars hit the golf courses in Wisconsin--even the non-golfers. You get to hobnob with them while making some sweet tips.
5. Working in quality assurance for cheese
Not going to hide my cards here, I think Carr Valley makes the best cheese in Wisconsin, hands down. If you can get a "job" testing cheese, you have the best job ever.
6. Working as a chocolatier
Wisconsin makes some of the best chocolates, and it's probably because of our great dairy and attention to detail. Making chocolates, particularly Seroogy's chocolates, would be a dream job.
Acuity was ranked this year as the #3 the top place to work--period. And did I mention the rankings were done by Forbes? Yeah, it's that good. If you've driven down 43, you've seen this beautiful building (pictured here). So...everyone run and try and get a job there!
8. Owning a bed and breakfast
9. Being a ski instructor
One of the most exciting things to do in Wisconsin is ski (hey, we have the snow...). It's a lot of fun to teach people to ski. So this seems like it would be an awesome gig.
10. Work as a park ranger
Wisconsin has tons of beautiful forests, and exploring them would take a lifetime. You can learn these woods really well by working as a park ranger, and also educate people about protecting Wisconsin's natural beauty.
