Wisconsin Has Its Very Own German Christmas Market And You’ll Want To Visit

Oconomowoc is a small town west of Milwaukee in what’s known as the area’s lake country. Surrounded by small lakes, it’s about 35 miles from Milwaukee and 50 miles from Madison and it’s a beautiful little town just bursting with charm. And this weekend it’s home to an awesome German Christmas Market. These traditional Christkindlmarkets happen all around Europe, but originated in Germany. The small street markets pop up with goods to buy as presents, delicious snacks and mulled wine for you to drink. There’s great food, lively music and it’s a totally charming way to kick off your holiday season.

The Oconomowoc Christmas Market is located at the corner of Main Street and Wisconsin Avenue in Oconomowoc, WI 53066.
