When the weather is actually nice outside, the last thing you want to do is sit inside in front of the TV. So get outside. But don’t just do anything. Make your outdoor time epic. Here are some great ideas to get you started.
1. Big Manitou Falls
Chasing waterfalls seems like the best outdoor activity. Why not view the granddaddy of them all, Big Manitou Falls? It rumbles a whopping 165 feet.
2. Horicon Marsh
Horicon Marsh offers you a stunning shot of Wisconsin marsh wildlife. There is even a place for you to bring your vehicle if you want to roll with the AC.
3. Olbrich Botanical Gardens
This botanical garden is amazing. Some of its features are the Bolz Conservatory, which has 750 varieties of plants, as well as a Sunken Garden with an 80 foot reflecting pool.
4. Lake Geneva Canopy Tours
Have you ever wished to walk atop the trees? You can with this awesome experience offered by Lake Geneva Canopy. Zip line and walk across their scenic property.
5. Devil's Lake State Park
There's a reason why this is the most-visited state park in Wisconsin. These tall bluffs overlook a 300 acre lake. There is plenty of hiking to do, and if you want, you can even camp here.
6. Dyracuse Recreational Park
Looking for a sweet place to take your ATV or dirt bike? Dyracuse is your place. This well-run park just opened for the season, so come check it out!
7. Quarry Beach
Inflatables on the water? That you can jump on? Why haven't you checked out this amazing Sheboygan attraction already?
8. Pewits Nest
This place looks like something out of a fairy tale. This 40 foot gorge is actually one you can swim in.
9. Apostle Islands
The Apostle Islands are truly breathtaking. The best way to experience them (and only way to experience the sea caves) is by kayaking by them.
10. Washington Island, Schoolhouse Beach
Wisconsin has some truly epic beaches, and there is no nicer place to walk than a beach at sunset. We recommend Schoolhouse Beach on Washington Island for its clear waters.
11. Great River Road
This is a great road to drive up and down. Stop off in a smattering of river towns along the way. They often have interesting shops and offer great views of the river.
When is the last time you were tubing? Rent a boat (or go with a friend who has one) and hang on tight!
13. Fishing Charter
Fishing on your own is awesome, but why not check out a fishing charter? Kinns is out of Algoma, and you can hope to catch king salmon, coho salmon, rainbow trout, and brown trou.
