Ever thought about what you would do if you were in charge of the world, or maybe even just your state? Here are the things that I would do if I were the queen of West Virginia.
1. I'd put a Sheetz in every town.
Great MTO food and a convenience store. I would make sure that every little town in West Virginia had a Sheetz.
2. Start an educational campaign on the differences between West Virginia and Virginia.
No, I don't live near Richmond. Yes, we have been our own state since 1863. It seems that U.S. geography education is seriously lacking when it comes to West Virginia. If I were in charge, I'd start an effort to educate the rest of the country about West Virginia.
3. I'd ban deer within 100 feet of roadways.
I wouldn’t ban them everywhere; they’re still pretty to look at and lots of people think they’re fun to hunt, but I would ban them from roadways so we don’t hit them with ours. (Even deer listen to the queen, right?)
4. No one in West Virginia would work on June 20.
It’s already a state holiday. Everyone should get to celebrate! No one in West Virginia should have to work that day.
5. The Mountaineers would always win.
The Mountaineers would win in every sport.
6. I'd restore our mountains to their former beauty.
The mountains that have been mined would look beautiful again if I had my way.
7. I'd fix all the pot holes.
How much better would the state be with just that little change?
8. I'd name a Tudor's Biscuit after myself.
The Katherine would be the most delicious of the Tudor's Biscuits.
9. Every day would be fall.
Autumn is without a doubt the best season and the most beautiful time in West Virginia. If I were queen (a magical queen in charge of seasons) I would make every day fall.
10. I'd reverse West Virginia's obesity rates.
West Virginia is unfortunately one of the most obese states in the nation, and that has come with some health problems. If I were queen, I'd make everyone a healthy weight.
What do you think; would you make me queen of West Virginia? If not, what would do you if you were put in charge of West Virginia?
