A fabulous glass of wine is never too far away here in Washington! We have countless renowned wineries all across our state that produce the alcoholic juice we love so dearly. Here are 15 in particular that you’ve got to taste:
1. Chateau Ste. Michelle, Woodinville
You may have already heard of this winery because it's one of the oldest and most famous in the whole country! Some popular choices include their 2006 Eroica Riesling Ice, Columbia Valley Syrah, Ethos Chardonnay and Ethos Syrah. They also conduct some interesting classes, workshops, events and wine tasting courses.
2. Palouse Winery, Vashon
Named after the beauty in Eastern Washington, this winery makes a sweet 2014 Cloud 9 Riesling and exotic 2014 Golden Pearl Viognier that will undeniably allure your palette. As they describe themselves online, "like the hills of the Palouse... smooth, round, voluptuous wines!"
3. Syncline Winery, Lyle
Stop by this charming winery near the Columbia Gorge one day and fall in love with their Grenache Blanc, complimented by flavors of star fruit, green apple, pear & hints of anise. Their tasting area is nice & secluded, dog-friendly, and they even have hammocks to relax on!
4. Westport Winery, Aberdeen
You won't want to miss out on some of the selections here near Ocean Shores! Inside, you can sample some delicious gourmet foods & drinks at the tasting bar, shop amongst their array of gifts, or head outside and tour their sculpture & display garden!
5. Kalamar Winery, Bonney Lake
This winery exclusively produces some excellent reds, like a tempting Merlot made from hand-picked Eastern Washington grapes ripened to perfection.
6. Barrister Winery, Spokane
Their distinguished wines will amaze you with every sip, so you'll definitely want to plan a trip to one of their tastings sometime to try one of their magnificent current releases!
7. Tsillan Cellars Winery, Chelan
You'll immediately be impressed after experiencing a high-quality wine from this Italian retreat on the shores of Lake Chelan. Their 2014 Estate Sempre Amore and 2012 Estate Syrah are only a couple of their amazing options to try!
8. Beresan Winery, Walla Walla
This family owned & operated business creates some exceptional choices! Their 2008 Carmenere not only has some notable fruity flavors in it, but leaves a tasty, lingering finish of white pepper & spice on your taste buds.
9. Woodward Canyon Winery, Lowden
Just outside of Walla Walla, this winery also produces under the label "Nelms Road", including a tantalizing Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon from local grapes.
10. Fletcher Bay Winery, Bainbridge Island
You'll enjoy some of the most incredible red, full-bodied wines in our state at this winery! They have tons of unique blends that will leave you elated & stopping by for another bottle in no time.

Red-wine lovers will appreciate this Yakima Valley vineyard! Their 2006 Old Vine Cabernet Sauvignon has won quite a few awards, like the Seattle Wine Award as well as the Northwest Wine Summit.
13. Rusty Grape Vineyard, Battle Ground
You'll see why Rusty Grape was once voted Clark County's "Best Winery" after you sip on their Rosso Massimo or 2014 Pinot Gris! You can also enjoy some fantastic beer & pizza here, for those coming with you who aren't "wino-s".
