It means spending one awesome day at the fair going on rides and checking out booths. The Washington State Fair has even been ranked continually in the top ten for largest fairs in the entire United States!
2. "How do you even pronounce Puyallup? What about Sequim? Or Issaquah?"
If you live here, you know that it's correctly pronounced "Pyoo-AL-up" and Sequim is "Skwim", and Issaquah is "ISS-a-kwah".
3. "What's the difference between Western and Eastern Washington?"
People who aren't from around here have no clue there's such a big contrast in weather and opinions between the two sides of the state. Once you cross over the mountains you'll definitely see the difference.
4. "Which towns make up the Tri-Cities?"
When you hear people talking about the "Tri-Cities", they're referring to the towns of Pasco, Kennewick, and Richland, although West Richland is generally included as part of the region too.
5. "Who is J.P. Patches?"
Not everyone was lucky enough to be a Patches Pal. Seattle entertainer Chris Wedes portrayed the clown on this children's show on KIRO Channel 7 twice a day every weekday for 23 years (even on Saturdays) from 1958-1981.
6. "What is a Dick's Deluxe?"
It's a popular burger made with a 1/4 lb. 100% beef patty that you can only find at our local chain around Washington. Pair it with a chocolate shake and some fries and you've got a perfect meal! You can find this old-school joint in the Seattle area as well as in Bellevue and Edmonds.
7. What is "Cascadia"?
This term refers to our entire Northwest region, including Oregon and even parts of Canada.
8. "Is it really that rainy all the time?"

9. "What's a Geoduck?"
It's a clam that's native to the West Coast here in North America. The geoduck is not only one of the largest clams in the world, but it's also one of the longest-living animals of any kind!
10. "What is Blue Friday?"
The Friday before the big game when you celebrate and sport your 12th Man gear, of course.
11. "Who plays in the Apple Cup?"
This huge college football rivalry game is held at the end of every November between the University of Washington Huskies and Washington State University Cougars. Who do you root for?
