26 Eerie Shots In Virginia That Are Spine-Tingling Yet Magical

We’ve been lucky in Virginia this summer. Here we are, already in July, and everything is still green. Why is it green? Because we’ve had rain. Lots of rain. At least, it’s been a lot of rain for a Virginia summer. But because it is, after all, Virginia, it’s also warm – and with warm rain comes fog. I’ve spent many a morning on my back deck lately looking at the fog – and loving it. There’s something magical and romantic, yet eerie and unsettling about fog all at the same time. It hides the backdrop of the day, but at the same time, limitless possibilities lie behind its impenetrable wall. So what better to bring you than another series of pictures from Virginia’s brilliant photographers. These 26 photos capture light, fog, mist and magic in a perfect combination, creating an effect that transports you to another world.

For this breathtaking photography, I have to give a special thanks to Donnie Nunley, Bob Mical, Bill Dickinson, and Jim Brickett. Time and again, their talent has astounded me and their work has made mine possible. And to all the photographers who are willing to go out there and capture these magical moments, to you, I also offer my thanks and respect. And to my readers, I would love to hear your thoughts about the magic that surrounds Virginia. Please comment below!
