Sometimes, the best things are what we have had all along. Here are 14 things that Vermont gives us every day. 1. Amazing people. FLickr/::: M @ X ::: The people of Vermont are absolutely amazing. 2. Al’s Frys. Flickr/Randall Rode If you've ever had Al's French Frys, you'll understand why we'd be happy to get some! 3. Perfect Christmas trees. Flickr/Putneypics No sir, not the fake ones with the pine scent for us! Vermont has enough Christmas tree farms that we can all cut our own and still be the green mountain state. 4. Fairs. Flickr/Ken Lund Delegates first named Vermont "New Connecticut," and in 1777 finally decided on Vermont, an imperfect translation of the French word for green mountain. This decision was a good one for us, since we are made up of uniqueness and individuality. 6. Winter sports.
