The Winter Horseback Riding Trail In Utah That’s Pure Magic
Utahns aren’t afraid of a little snow, and there’s nothing we love more than outdoor recreation – even in the winter. This winter, try something a little bit different – take a horseback ride in the snow.
Rocky Mountain Outfitters offers winter horseback riding at Soldier Hollow.
Rides depart from the Soldier Hollow stable, located at 633 W. Soldier Hollow Drive in Midway.
The Heber Valley is a gorgeous place for a horseback ride.
This rural valley is quiet and peaceful, with plenty of beautiful views.
Never ridden a horse?
That's ok - these guys are gentle. Your guide will help you find the right horse for you.
Your ride will start with a horse riding lesson.
Depending on the experience in your group, your lesson will last 10-15 minutes and will acquaint you with your horse, and instruct you how to handle him.
You'll ride through the snowy valley for one or two hours, depending on your preference.
The one-hour ride costs $69 per person; the two-hour ride is $89 per person.
It's likely that you'll see some wildlife along the way.
Rides depart at 11:00, 12:30 and 3:00 every day.
Riders must be at least eight years old, and should be physically fit enough to mount the horse without assistance.
