15 Things People In Utah Did Before the Internet Took Over Our Lives

If you’re older than 25 or so, you remember a time when you didn’t have 24/7 access to the internet and instant communication. Remember when you just had a flip phone and your cell phone plan required you to pay 25 cents per text? Remember when you had to be sitting at home, waiting for the dial-up connection on your desktop computer to access the internet? Maybe you even remember the world BEFORE the internet existed!

Now we live in a world where people are too busy taking selfies at the football game to notice that the receiver just ran 60 yards for a touchdown. We’re too busy looking at Facebook to take a hike with our kids and listen to their stories while walking down the trail. Which is really a shame, since we live in one of the most beautiful states in the country, with tons of recreational activities available to us.

Here’s a reminder of all the things you can do instead of spending your time looking at your cell phone.

Now that you’ve read this list, choose a few of your favorites, get off your phone, computer, or tablet and get out there!
