Whether you’re up for a challenge or just really hungry, there are tons of insane dishes to try all throughout America. Some will leave you full for days, and others don’t even seem physically possible. Either way, here’s the most extreme meal you can find in every state across the country. If you can manage to finish it all, you may be leaving with a free meal – and bragging rights forever:
Alabama: Helfi's Monster Burger (Clanton)
Three pounds of beef on a sub style bun with bacon, cheese, AND veggies is enough to put you in a southern food coma for a looooong while.
Alaska: Humpy's Kodiak Arrest
It's $160 and 5.5 pounds of food, but if you think you can eat seven crab cakes, three pounds of Alaskan crab with sides, one foot of reindeer sausage and wildberry crisp with ice cream for dessert? Then be our guest.
Arizona: Chompie's Slider Challenge (various locations)
Prolific enough to be featured on Man vs Food (and beat 'em!), Chompie's plate of twelve Jewish sliders and a mountain of onion strings will get your gullet in a knot, for sure.
Arkansas: Pig-'N- Chik's Sarge Burger (Sherwood)
Four pounds of hamburger PLUS a one pound bun is enough to make you heave, but add a half a pound of fries? AH.
California: Big Mama's and Papa's Pizza Challenge (Burbank)
It's a whopping fifty-four by fifty four inches, and they generously give seven people two hours to down the monstrosity. Made with fifty pounds of dough, they're going to be feeling that one for awhile...
Colorado: Pho-King Challenge at Pho 95 (Denver).
Eat a gigantic bowl of Pho (containing 200 oz. broth, 2 lbs. noodles, and 2 lbs. meat) in one sitting and you'll walk away with a free meal, t-shirt, and picture displayed as the Pho-King winner of the month!
Connecticut: Spike's Junkyard Dogs (various locations)
Each challenge differs by location, but YOU have to try to beat the last reigning champ's number of hot dogs. It may sound easy, but these belly busters are stuffed to the max.
Delaware: Two Fat Guy's American Grill (Various Locations)
Four half pound burgers with all the fixin's and fries keep people come back to try the challenge - but there are very, very few who reign victorious.
Florida: Mongo Burrito Challenge (Sarasota)
Eight pounds. One hour. This massive Mexican dish is sure to get that blood pumping - it's even complete with guacamole and sour cream (!!!). No one gets cut a break here, folks.
Georgia: Big Pie in the Sky (various locations)
That photo up there don't do justice - the eleven pound pizza challenge has to be scheduled, and is the CARNIVORE pizza. You heard us right - busting with meat and cheese, you're going to have dreams about this beautiful thing tonight.

Idaho: Westside's Pizza Death by Pizza Challenge (various locations)
Eighteen inches of cheese, meat, veggies and the chewiest dough you've ever had the pleasure of biting into make up the Death by Pizza challenge. You have an hour to make it count, kids.
Illinois: The Fifty $50 Ultimate Eating Challenge at The Fifty/50 (Chicago).
If you have a hunger that's hard to satisfy (or a death wish), look no further than The Fifty/50 challenge, where all you have to do is eat 30 buffalo wings, 5 strips of bacon, 5 onion rings, a side of mac & cheese, 1/2 rack smoked ribs, "Triple Secret Burger" slider, turkey burger slider, pulled pork slider, bacon & cheddar baked potato, Double D grilled cheese slider, crab cake slider, PB&J slider, and down an entire 50 oz. draft beer. Iowa: 28,890 Challenge at Screaming Eagle American Bar and Grill (Waterloo).
Do you have a void that just can't be filled? Screaming Eagle can fix that with by feeding you three 9630 burgers, an order of fries, a half-order of onion rings, and a side salad! Oh, and if you can eat it all in less than 45 minutes, they'll also buy your meal, award you a sweet tee, and put your mug on their wall.
Kansas: The Ultimate Destroyer at Papa Bob’s Bar-B-Que (Bonner Springs).

Kentucky: Banana Quake at L & R Soda Bar (Elkton).
This is my kind of a challenge: 8 scoops of ice cream, 3 bananas, 16 ounces of syrup, 16 cherries, 14 ounces of whip cream, and 4 ounces of nuts! I get a sugar high just thinking about it...
Louisiana: Aircraft Carrier at Sunrise Bistro (Slidell).
Breakfast is the most important meal of the day; so why not enjoy 5 lbs. worth of hash browns, veggies, bacon, sausage, ham, eggs, and gravy?
Maine: Meat Mountain Boat Challenge at Binga's Wingas (Yarmouth)

Maryland: The Titanic at Justine's Ice Cream Parlour (Ocean City).

Massachusetts: The Gronk Challenge at Perfect Game (Worcester).

Look, I love nachos as much as the next person (if not more so), but 5 lbs. worth in less than 40 minutes might even be too much for me! (But if you can do it, there's a comped meal, t-shirt, and photo recognition up for grabs!)
Minnesota: Hot Wing Challenge at The Pourhouse (Minneapolis).
Hey hot stuff... want to prove yourself? Just eat 12 hot wings (coated in a ghost pepper sauce) and you'll receive a key chain AND cover-free admission to The Pourhouse for life.
Mississippi: 72 oz. Challenge at Duke's Steakhouse (Pelahatchie).
What's better than a steak dinner? A steak dinner consisting of 72 oz. of steak! Duh.
Missouri: The Mama's Challenge, Mama's On The Hill (St. Louis)
This massive bowl of spaghetti comes served with a colossal meatball. If you're able to finish it all, you'll get the meal for free, plus a free t-shirt... and maybe a little heartburn.
Montana: Jumboli, Trimbo's Pizza (Butte)
As featured on Man Vs. Food, this challenge consists of completing a traditional Stromboli - only this one weighs 80 ounces. It comes stuffed with three different types of cheese, pizza sauce, fried peppers and onions, capacolla, salami, pepperoni, olives and mushrooms - and you only have an hour to finish it all off.
Nebraska: The Stellinator, Stella's Bar and Grill (Bellevue)
This beast of a burger consists of six beef patties, six fried eggs, six pieces of cheese, 12 strips of bacon, lettuce, tomato, fried onions, pickles, jalapenos, peanut butter and a thick bun. If you can manage to eat all of that and an order of fries within 45 minutes, you'll get the whole meal free, plus a free t-shirt and a place on the Wall of Fame. Nevada: 120 oz. Steak, The Brand Steakhouse (Las Vegas)
If you're in Vegas, this is the jackpot of all steaks: the work of art is soaked in bacon fat, weighs 120 oz (or 7.5 lb.) and comes carved straight from the bone - served with two sides and sauces. It'll make for a good serving for about six people, but if you think you can handle all of it in one sitting (with no time limit), the steakhouse will comp the whole meal. If not, that'll be $250 (+tax).
New Hampshire: Grand Poutine Challenge, Chez Vachon (Manchester)
French fries are delicious enough as it is, but when you top them with cheese curds and gravy for a total of 5 pounds of poutine magic, you get this must try challenge in Manchester. Finish off the whole platter and you'll get it free, plus a shirt and bragging rights with your photo featured on the Wall of Fame.
New Jersey: Mount Olympus, Clinton Station Diner (Clinton)
While this diner does offer 3 food challenges, the whopping 50-lb. wonder known as the Mount Olympus really takes the crown. You've only got 3 hours or less to finish it with the help of 4 friends, but if you can manage to conquer the supersized burger you may be walking out with a $1,000 prize.
New Mexico: Fireman Burrito, Cecilia's Cafe (Albuquerque)
Weighing about 10 pounds, this gargantuan burrito is made up of eggs, potatoes, bacon, sausage, chiccarones, beans, red chile, green chile and a half pound of cheese. It takes three people to wrap it all up, and as part of the challenge, you have to consume it in an hour and a half or less.
New York: The 2 Ton Challenge, 2 Ton Tony's (Rochester)
You'll only have 45 minutes and one other person to help you get through this 10-pound pizza to win a fashionable new shirt and free large pizza certificate. Think you could do it?
North Carolina: Mac's Fatboy Challenge, Mac's Speed Shop (All locations)
This challenge may seem pretty do-able, but finishing off the massive burger with toppings, fries, onion rings and mac-and-cheese all in under an hour is much more difficult (and delicious) than it looks. One more thing: you're required to wash it down with a liter of soda or beer.
North Dakota: The "Frac Attack", Big Willy's Saloon & Grill (Williston)
With two grilled cheese sandwiches for buns, this epic challenge includes 2 eight-ounce beef patties, caramelized onions, chili, red pepper cream and it's topped with crispy fried onions. Finish off their giant stack of heaven and you'll score a free comfy shirt to wear for bragging purposes.
Ohio: Terminal Tower Sundae, Sweet Moses Soda Fountain (Cleveland)
If you've ever wondered what frozen perfection tastes like, here's your dream challenge: this leaning tower is piled high with ten scoops of ice cream, one each of their classic flavors like butter pecan and cookies & cream. Then it's covered with hot fudge, warm caramel sauce, marshmallow cream, pecans, candy sprinkles, whipped cream, cherries and two toppings of your choice. The sweetest part of it all: if you're victorious, you'll score a trophy and your name on a plaque in their store.
Oklahoma: The Six Shooter Challenge at The Cow Half Hay (Edmond)
Hope you're hungry when you embark on the journey to consume this massive stack of six burger patties, caramelized onions, and cheese. You've gotta eat the french fries and onion rings too, and you have 45 minutes to clean your plate.
Oregon: The 72oz Steak Challenge at Sayler's Old Country Kitchen (Portland)
This intimidating challenge has been a Portland tradition since 1948. You have an hour to consume the meal, trimmings and all. Since its beginnings, 629 people have completed the challenge, while 1381 have failed.
Pennsylvania: The Uncle Buck's BBQ Sandwich Challenge (Plymouth)
That right there is a six pound sandwich. For your convenience, your french fries are included on the bun along with pulled pork. After this 30 minute challenge, you might never eat again.
Rhode Island: The King Kong Omelet at The Hungry Monkey (Newport)
We've been taught from a young age that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, so you wouldn't want to skimp. Try this 15-egg omelet full of chorizo, meat, four cheeses, and vegetables. You have one hour to complete the fie pound challenge.
South Carolina: The Belt Buster Challenge at Big Billy's Burger Joint (North Charleston)
A grilled cheese INSIDE of a cheeseburger? Surely that's sacrilege. If you can stomach it, along with a full order of loaded nachos, some potatoes, and a milkshake, it's yours for free.
South Dakota: The Boss Hog Challenge at Boss' Pizza and Chicken (Sioux Falls)
Like pizza? Have a friend who likes pizza? Then the 28" pizza at Boss' may be the challenge for the two of you. Two people have an hour to consume the giant pie which contains two vegetable toppings and one meat topping. If you win, each of you receives a $100 gift certificate.
Tennessee: Piranha's Titan's Cheesesteak Challenge
TEN POUNDS. You heard us right - ten pounds of meat and bread, plus coleslaw and french fries actually IN the sandwich make this a feat not many can overcome.
Texas: The Big Watt at Fat Boy's Bay & Grill (Houston)
Here's a challenge that might not even be physically possible. The Big Watt weights 27 pounds. No one has EVER successfully completed this challenge. Those who wish to try have five hours to consume the beast, and if they succeed will receive a $500 gift card, a plaque on the restaurant wall, a T-shirt, and a free meal.
Utah: The Kitchen Sink Banana Split at Angie's Restaurant (Logan)
The kitchen sink sundae is served in a cute miniature sink, and normally is ordered to share. If you finish the whole thing by yourself though, you get a bumper sticker that says "I cleaned the sink at Angie's." The sundae contains two whole bananas, three toppings of your choice, and plenty of vanilla ice cream.
Vermont: The Cal-Mungo Calzone Challenge at Ramunto's Brick Oven Pizza (Williston)
It might be enough of a challenge just to eat all of the marinara sauce that this gigantic calzone comes with. Polish off the 5.5 pound monster in 45 minutes, and receive your meal for free along with a t-shirt and a plaque on the wall.
Virginia: The Challenge Burger at Lucky Star Lounge (Front Royal)
This challenge began in 2011 with a one pound burger and two pounds of fries. Since then, every person who eats the entire meal in under 45 minutes receives it free of charge, and the challenge increases by half a pound and fifteen minutes. This is where the challenge stands today. Also,

West Virginia: The Homewrecker Hot Dog at Hillybilly Hot Dogs (Lesage)
You must consume this entire 15 inch hot dog in under 12 minutes in order to win the Homewrecker Challenge. It contains a one pound hot dog smothered in a variety of toppings including jalapenos, sauteed peppers and onions, nacho cheese, and more.
Wisconsin: The Tsunami Challenge at WeatherVane (Menasha)
The looks on these women's faces pretty much sums up the Tsunami. If you complete the challenge, you receive the meal for free, your photo on the wall, and a free trip to your local hospital! You must sign an insurance waiver to compete... At least WeatherVane cares about your well-being. The Tsunami is a seven pound meal including a 14-ingredient omelet, hashbrowns, pancakes, and toast.
Washington: Sam's Burger Challenge, Sam's Tavern (Seattle)
With an hour on the clock, this challenge requires you to eat a 50/50 Burger, Jalapeno Reno, Magic Mushroom Burger and Sams Cheese Burger - all washed down with a Sams Bakon Vodka Bloody Mary Masterpiece. Of course, fries are included. If you're able to finish on time, you'll get your (attractive) picture on the wall and a free shirt to brag about the fearless accomplishment.
Wyoming: The Ring of Fire Challenge at JC Burger & Catering (Casper)
It's hard to say what the toughest part of this challenge would be: the 16-patty burger, the two pounds of fries, or the two pounds of hot peppers adorning the dish. Finish it in 30 minutes, and you not only get the meal for free, but one free meal every month for the next six months.
