When people find out you’re from Texas, they usually react in one of three ways: 1) genuine interest, 2) saying something like “Sorry, that must suck” or 3) trying to get under your skin with stereotypical questions about the state. If you’ve ever encountered people from out-of-state, you’ve likely heard these questions a few too many times by now.
Is this really still a question y'all? Somehow, I don't think this would go over in the cities very well...
Well, we have desert out west, but we also have trees, rivers, hills, valleys, beaches, canyons, mountains...I think you get the point.

Okay, lots of us own guns, but you will come across some people who don't.
Well most of us do, when we're not busy trotting around town on our horses, of course.
Lots of folks do in rural communities, but we do have these things called cities, where millions of us live and work.
