Some of the most dangerous towns in Tennessee at the time of this writing include Memphis, which, as a big city, is unsurprising. In 2021, it was deemed the single most dangerous city in the United States. It’s got the second-highest murder rate in the country, and honestly, you just don’t want to be caught there alone after sunset. The other is, of course, Nashville – another big city in Tennessee with an abnormally high violent crime rate.
What are some of the dangers of living in Tennessee?
The natural world in Tennessee isn’t a slouch of any kind. It’s incredibly scenic – one of the most beautiful places in the United States – and it’s home to so many amazing natural landscapes, historic towns, and more. But, like anywhere else, it’s not without its risks; some of the dangers of living in Tennessee include natural disasters like tornadoes, which, for whatever reason, seem to be just a little deadlier in Dixie Alley – which is where Tennessee is. Flooding is another significant issue, and the humidity combined with the heat is a killer every year.
