People line up around the block just to get a chance to attend and experience the magic that this event has to offer. Of course, we’re talking about Chocolatefest – Knoxville’s homage to the sweetest and most irresistible of confections. Whether you’re a devotee or have never heard of it, you’ll want to check out Chocolatefest.
Did you know that downtown Knoxville hosts an annual chocolate festival every year? It's true! And it's amazing.
The festival features local chocolate, local bakers, local vendors, and much much more. Basically, it's as if heaven descends on downtown Knoxville for the whole day.

Most of the vendors bring tasty treats that you have to buy in order to try (like these wondrous confections from Kim's Kandies), but the festival also offers tickets for the special tasting area.

General admission tickets for Chocolatefest are $5, but in order to taste the samples in the tasting area, you have to buy a $20 ticket that gets you in to that area at a certain time. They only let in so many people to the tasting area per hour because everyone wants to try this delicious chocolate!
The festival also has a silent auction for chocolate goodies as well as the highly anticipated Little Miss Chocolatefest pageant!
While Chocolatefest was first held 25 years ago, there was a period where it wasn't held at all. But in 2013, it was brought back by another organization because the world just needs more chocolate.
While the 2018 edition of Chocolatefest has already been held, the 2019 festival is coming up! It's currently scheduled for February 2nd at the Holiday Inn's World's Fair Exhibition Hall in downtown Knoxville. Visit the Chocolatefest website for additional information.
