There are so many things to see and do in Southern California that are so totally SoCal that it’s almost criminal to overlook them. Whether you’ve lived in Southern California your whole life or you’ve adopted this side of the state as your own, these are the 10 things every self-respecting Southern Californian must do before they die. 1. Spend the afternoon taking a leisurely stroll on the beach. Make sure to take off your shoes so you can feel the sensation of sand on your toes.

2. Head to Balboa Island for the day and order a frozen banana on a hot SoCal day. It's the perfect frozen treat in every way.

3. Take a stroll through your local farmers market and stock up on all of your favorite produce grown right here in Southern California.

4. Pick a trail, any trail, and head outside and take in the natural surroundings. There's always a great hike nearby no matter where you live in SoCal.

5. Skip the stuffy indoor gym and take your workout to a local park at one of SoCal's many outdoor bootcamps.

6. Spend the day at Ventura Harbor Village enjoying the view, dining on local seafood, and taking a stroll along the waterfront.

7. Indulge in a mind-blowing meal on the outdoor patio at Mister A's restaurant in San Diego. The view is extraordinary and the food is to-die-for.

8. Take a Sunday drive out to SoCal wine country in Temecula and explore the many vineyards that produce some of your favorite SoCal wines.

9. Embrace the SoCal outdoor concert season with as many concerts as you can handle. Listening to great tunes outside in the fresh air is one SoCal experience you won't forget.

10. Take a walk along your favorite pier right before sunset and soak up the beauty of the colorful SoCal sky at magic hour.
