What are the best winter getaways in Southern California?

The best winter getaways in Southern California are:

Southern California is typically known for its wonderful beaches, amazing cities, and overall “surfer” vibe that so many folks have come to love, but did you know that there are loads of places you can escape to for the ultimate winter adventure as well? It’s true! Southern California might be famous for its beaches, but the truth is, the entire landscape is remarkably beautiful and diverse, and you can definitely find some amazing places to get away to during the winter. For example, there are lots of places where snow falls, and you might just forget you’re in California. We really love the town of Wrightwood, which has all the small-town charm of a mountain town and plenty of the fluffy white stuff to have lots of fun in. Visit the resort in town and try your hand (or, well, your feet) at skiing, or maybe hit up the world-famous Big Bear Snow Play area, which boasts Southern California’s largest snow tubing run. Are there any natural hot springs in Southern California?

There are so many natural hot springs in Southern California, and during the winter, they’re especially wonderful. In fact, there are a lot more than you probably even realize; it’s more than just one or two. For example, near Santa Barbara, you can find the refreshing Sespe Hot Springs, and in the southern Sierras, you can find Remington Hot Springs, which are super accessible and absolutely wonderful. In the town of Murrietta, you can go to the Murrietta Hot Springs, which are located at a Christian retreat center (so you’ll have to be their guest to visit those ones). Near Mammoth Lakes, you can find not one but two hot springs at Wild Willy’s Hot Springs and/or the Crowley Hot Springs. As long as you know where to look, you’re sure to find plenty of amazing natural wonders all over SoCal – including, but not limited to, amazing natural hot springs.
