The Sheridan Lake South Shore Campground is surrounded by a ponderosa pine forest, so the campsites are cool, shady and secluded. You'll find this beautiful campground at 8221 U.S. 16, Rapid City, SD 57702.

This historic trail follows the Rockerville Flume, which was used during the Gold Rush until 1885. Along the way, you'll encounter a few mining tunnels, portions of the old flume, and even some abandoned mining equipment. The trail is rated as moderate, with an elevation gain of 1,351 feet.
