We in South Carolina may at times get a little spoiled by the beauty that surrounds us on a daily basis. No matter where you live in the Palmetto State there are beautiful vistas to admire – including the Sandhills, the Blue Ridge Mountains and the Atlantic Ocean. Jocassee Gorges, located in South Carolina's beautiful Upstate, is breathtakingly beautiful with mountains that have vertical drops you'd see out West in larger mountain ranges. As if these picturesque mountain layers aren't already stunning, the canyon is filled with a lake that's more than 300 feet deep in places. The breathtaking views of Lake Jocassee and the Jocassee Gorges are a sight everyone in South Carolina should see at some point in their life.
