1. 27 Dresses
This comedy starring Katherine Heigl was filmed in Providence, Charlestown, East Greenwich, and other Rhode Island towns! Two Newport mansions, Rosecliff and Marble House, were also used in the making of the movie.
Marble House Mansion was also used in the filming of this 1997 historical drama.
3. Dan in Real Life
This 2007 comedy/drama stars Steve Carrel and was filmed largely in Rhode Island. Some towns included in the film are Newport, West Greenwich, East Greenwich, Jamestown, Westerly, and Providence.
4. The Education of Charlie Banks
Fred Durst of Limp Bizkit directed this drama about a group of friends. Various scenes were filmed at Brown University in Providence.

This 1974 romantic drama is based on the classic novel by Scott Fitzgerald. Shot partially in Rhode Island, both Rose Cliff and Marble House mansions were used in production.
8. There's Something About Mary
This 1998 film stars Cameron Diaz and Ben Stiller and was directed by the Farrelly Brothers. Though the movie was shot mostly in Florida, many scenes were shot in Rhode Island.
9. High Society
This 1950s musical stars Grace Kelly, Frank Sinatra, and Bing Crosby.

Jim Carrey plays a Rhode Island state trooper in this hilarious comedy.
