Wolf’s Museum of Mystery is appropriately located in St. Augustine, considered one of the most haunted towns in the nation! The Museum features the unusual collections of a man named Wolfgang Von Mertz, who travelled the world collecting rare and obscure artifacts and oddities, including some very creepy “treasures.” The Museum includes seven galleries with items handpicked by the collector himself, and has only recently been opened for public viewing. Inside you will find a few disturbing vintage paintings, recreation exhibits of murder scenes, unusual taxidermy, historically significant artifacts, and a few objects we don’t quite know how to explain. Everything (yes, everything) in the Museum is for sale, and the curators are happy to buy and trade any of your own unusual items, so the exhibits are constantly evolving, but perhaps best enjoyed by those who are not faint-of-heart!
