With over 100 years of candy-making mastery, Lagomarcino’s is far more than your average candy store. They have two locations (the other in Davenport, IA), but the original shop in Moline has been featured in several major magazines (including Cooking With Paula, Midwest Living, Saveur, and many others) as one of the best old-fashioned ice cream parlors in the country. Angelo Lagomarcino, who emigrated to the U.S. from Northern Italy and brought his European expertise along with him, founded Lagomarcino’s in 1908. The business is still family-owned and -operated to this day! Today, Lagomarcino’s also features a traditional soda fountain and small café, should you need a snack before the sugar rush. If you can not make it to Moline any time soon, their homemade truffles, chocolates, barks, and brittles (as well as theie homemade bittersweet fudge elixer used on their sundaes) can now be ordered online!
