Bubbie’s Homemade Ice Cream & Desserts

First opened in 1985 just a few blocks from the UH Manoa campus was Bubbie’s Homemade Ice Cream & Desserts, named after owner Keith Robbin’s grandmother, who introduced him to the world of ice cream during his childhood in New York State.

Though all of Bubbie’s fare is absolutely to-die for, the Oahu-based company is famous for its premium mochi ice cream with flavors like azuki bean, guava, strawberry dark chocolate chip, green tea and Li Hing mango.

Though the Manoa store is recently closed, you can still grab amazing Bubbie’s treats at their Koko Marina Shopping Center location. You can also find mochi ice cream in Hawaii at Whole Foods, Woodland, Safeway, and the Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf.
