Portland’s restaurants have been so successful that they’ve expanded to other cities, like Pok Pok in New York City and Salt & Straw in Los Angeles. We take the deliciousness of our food and beverages very seriously, and you’ll experience just how serious we are time and time again. There are certain places that we go to get very particular items, whether it’s for a Spanish coffee or a donut. Here’s a list of restaurants that serve our favorite Portland foods and drinks:
1. Tacos from ¿Por Qué No? Taqueria
Portland's most talked about taqueria is ¿Por Qué No?. They take locally-sourced produce and make some of the most delectable tacos, that everyone in the city are talking about. The best (but maybe the most busy) days to go is when there is all day happy hour on Taco Tuesday!
2. All Coffee
It's true that the people of Portland love their coffee. It excites us know when we're drinking freshly roasted and local beans. Of course you've heard of Stumptown, but there are so many other terrific roasters like Case Study and Water Avenue.
3. All Donuts
In Portland we love our donuts. We like also like them to be dressed outrageously, whether it's with bacon, cereal, or an injection of Cointreau.
4. Nong's Khao Man Gai's Signature Dish
As simple as a plate of chicken and rice equates to the deliciousness of it when it comes Nong's Khao. This is one of the most popular food carts in the city, just based on this one dish alone.
5. Spanish Coffee from Huber's
Huber's is an iconic restaurant in Portland's downtown neighborhood that serves the best Spanish Coffee in the city.
6. Ice Cream from Salt & Straw
With peculiar flavors like Dill Pickle Sorbet and Honey Vinegar Milk, how could you not be obsessed with trying Salt & Straw's latest flavors? They cannot disappoint.
7. The Most Popular Drink at Sapphire Hotel
Sapphire Hotel is a modest restaurant and bar in the Hawthorne District that serves some of the best cocktails in the city, most notably The Most Popular Drink which is a coconut-based drink topped with pop rocks.
8. Chicken Wings from Pok Pok
Pok Pok aims to serve the most authentic and fresh Thai outside of the actual country. They have locations taking over the country to prove that Ike’s Vietnamese Fish Sauce Wings are the most stellar things to ever touch your taste buds.
9. Biscuits from Pine State Biscuits
Pine State Biscuits serves the most delicious biscuits dressed up in all sorts of ways, like in gravy or with bacon as a savory sandwich.
10. All Beer
