Oregonians are quite the creative bunch. With so many talented, hardworking people, it’s no wonder we’re so good at what we do. From growing amazing produce to riding bikes naked, here are a few things that Oregonians simply do best:
11. Exploring hidden places in nature
Oregonians have a knack for exploring the many hidden gems of Oregon's beautiful landscape.
10. Brewing beer
Oregon is home to innumerable breweries (Portland alone has the most breweries per capita of any city in the country), so it seems natural that there is so much amazing, unique beer being brewed right here in the Beaver State.
9. Supporting local businesses
There are just so many amazing local businesses. How could we not support them? Here's a photo of a few of the hundreds of awesome food carts in downtown Portland.
8. Taking advantage of the sunshine
Many of us Oregonians are used to long winters of rainy skies and gray clouds, so when the sun comes out we make sure to get outside and enjoy it.
7. Marionberry pie
No one makes Marionberry pie better than Oregon. Case closed.
6. Raising llamas
Oregon is home to more than a fourth of all the llamas in the country.
5. Roasting coffee
There are tons of incredible coffee roasters in Oregon. Here's a photo of Stumptown's delicious espresso.
4. Riding bikes naked
Portland is home to the World Naked Bike Ride, which is, awesomely, exactly what it sounds like.
3. Inventing things
Wikis, marachino cherries, the computer mouse, hackysacks... lots of cool things were invented by Oregonians.
2. Growing amazing fresh fruits and veggies
Oregon is home to a large amount of farms growing incredibly delicious produce. There's a reason our food is so tasty!
1. Appreciating nature
Oregonians have a deep-rooted love of the outdoors. How could we not? We get to live in one of the most beautiful places in the world.
