When I was a teenager, I dreamed of the day I’d be old enough to move away from Oregon. It’s great to explore other places, but to my surprise, the further I went from my home state, the more I came to realize how much a part of me it truly is. Maybe it’s the awe-inspiring wilderness, the way the sidewalks smell after the rain or something else I can’t quite name, but this place has got a hold on me that I just can’t shake.
