There’s No Chapel In The World Like This One In Oklahoma

Oklahoma is full of churches and chapels on every corner, but none of them are as unique as “The World Chapel” in the Holy City in the Wichita Mountains. The chapel was built in 1936 to resemble America’s oldest church, Christ Church in Alexandria, Virginia, where George Washington worshiped. The Holy City began in 1926 as an Easter Passion Play and attracted up to several hundred thousand guests at one time. The Holy City is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is a one-of-a-kind destination. Read on to see why there’s no chapel in the world like the one in Oklahoma’s Holy City.

Have you ever visited this chapel in the Holy City? If so, what did you think about it? Please share your thoughts in the comments section.
