Good news, Oklahomans! The Sooner State is experiencing a tornado drought and for the first time in history, we’ve had zero tornadoes this far into the year.

As a state that is normally setting records for massive tornadoes, it's nice to be on the other side of the coin for once. On April 26, 2018, Oklahoma broke a record for going the entire year so far without a tornado.

On average, Oklahoma sees about 12 tornadoes during the month of April. In 2012 we experienced the most ever in the month of April with 54.
