Since Oklahoma is considered part of the “Bible Belt,” it’s no surprise that many Oklahomans identify as being religious. As a whole, 59.35% of people in the state of Oklahoma identify as religious, meaning they affiliate with a religion (compared to the U.S. average of 48.78%). According to Sperling’s Best Places, the following 15 counties in Oklahoma have the highest percentages of people who consider themselves as religious (along with the top 3 religions in each county).
