These 12 Burger Joints in Oklahoma Will Make Your Taste Buds Explode
Oklahomans are serious when it comes to their burgers. We will wait in long lines just to get our favorites and we are loyal to our establishments. We have many more great burgers than the ones that made this list, so take a deep breath if you don’t see your favorite.
1.) Patty Wagon-OKC. Patty's is proud to serve local, farm raised, hormone and antibiotic free beef patties. Feeling better about the meat? Go ahead and throw on a few extra patties for The Quad Burger.
2.) Bills Jumbo Burgers- Tulsa. Grab a good old fashioned burger on old Route 66. More of a carry-out style since there are only a few stools. With burgers this good, plan on a wait during lunch hours.
3.) The Garage-Edmond. Grab a delicious burger with a great selection of beer at this upbeat restaurant/bar.
4.) Clauds Hamburgers- Tulsa. A favorite for its local burger shack atmosphere and perfected burgers, with just the right amount of seasoning to make it memorable.
5.) Meers Store & Restaurant- Meers. The restaurant is about the only thing left in town and it hails the title "Best Burger in Oklahoma." Feel right at home eating your burger made from prize winning Texas Longhorn Beef, raised on the family's ranch. No need to worry about cholesterol...this beef is actually lower than chicken.
6.) Nic's Grill- OKC. Go hungry because Nic's serves a mouth-watering half pound burger. Be prepared to wait in line , but its well worth the wait.
7.) Hanks Burgers-Tulsa. One of Tulsa's iconic burger joints offering fresh burgers, onion rings and shakes. Try the famous "Big Okie," a one pound burger consisting of four 1/4 patties.
8.) Irmas Burger Shack-OKC. As Irma says, "Ain't nothing a good burger and a cold beer can't cure." Stop by and grab the famous "No Name Burger"...some of the best beef in the state.
9.) Ron's Hamburger and Chili-Owasso. Ron's has several locations throughout the state and has been in business since 1975. Ron's has been voted the "Best Hamburger and Chili" and is a great family-friendly spot to visit.
10.) Boston Deli-Tulsa. You won't find this BBQ Brisquet Burger on the lunch menu, so plan a nice evening out and be prepared for the flavors in this baby.
11.) Pops Restaurant and Gas Station-Arcadia. When you plan on visiting the famous landmark of Route 66, go hungry because they serve a fabulous signature burger. Visit the soda ranch with over 600 varieties of sodas and beverages.
12.) Tuckers Onion Burgers-OKC. Pile on the grilled onions and bacon cause this bad boy is sure to please. Sit out on the patio and bring your dogs to eat...you can even order them an onion free burger.
