The warmer months seem like the obvious time to climb aboard a nostalgic train for a scenic ride near Cincinnati. While spring, summer, and fall are indeed good times to do this, there are also train rides offered in the winter that provide just the right amount of adventure. The Lebanon Mason Monroe Railroad hosts the Snowflake Express, among other rides, and you’ll want to hop aboard for a memorable wintertime experience.

Well known for their North Pole Express and Day Out with Thomas themed rides, the LM&M railroad in Lebanon actually has quite a few excursions all year long, even in the snowy, cold of winter. The train cars are heated and these rides give you a unique view of the countryside during the colder months.

Tickets for the Snowflake Express Rides in February are on sale now (website linked below). You can choose from either Deluxe seating or a ticket for the historic Coach car.
The Deluxe Class - 664 Car features plush, reclining seats and large picture windows. There are also restrooms available in these cars and the seats are reserved.
The Coach Class Car gives you that nostalgic train experience and is still a very comfortable ride. The car is heated and you can sit facing others in your party.
Rides take place on February 3rd and 10th at 11am and 2pm. You'll definitely want to purchase your tickets in advance, as the rides do frequently sell out. During the ride, you'll have the opportunity to learn about the history and operations of the railroad and take in the scenery. Drinks and concessions will also be for sale (cash only).
Aside from the Snowflake Express, there are several other opportunities to ride the rails this winter with LM&M.
