Camping is a great way to escape everyday life without having to go too far from Cincinnati. There are many campgrounds within an hour or so of the city, some of them tucked away in the woods and others situated within a larger park. One particular campground that is just 20 minutes from downtown is beautifully positioned right on a lake, feels secluded, and yet is close to activities and amenities for plenty of entertainment. It may or may not surprise you that this campground can be found in Winton Woods and it might just be the most beautiful campground in all of Cincinnati.
Winton Woods is a treasured destination within Great Parks of Hamilton County and has so much to offer visitors. It's well known for its lovely lake and boathouse, horseback riding, and hiking, and also for its incredibly beautiful campground.
The campground is perfectly situated along the banks of the park's large lake, meaning many of the campsites are right on the water. Being so close to downtown Cincinnati, it's convenient for locals, yet provides plenty of natural beauty to feel like you've escaped everyday life.

The campground offers a total of 123 campsites including RV back-in sites and pull-through sites with full hook-up, 68 tent sites, and both deluxe and rustic cabins.
The lake is very close, so even the views from inside your RV are scenic. Set in a pine grove next to the water, it's really a one-of-a-kind camping experience, right in the heart of our city.
If you don't have an RV and don't like tent camping, you can still enjoy the beautiful campground in Winton Woods.
They offer 10 rustic cabins and 8 deluxe cabins that can sleep the entire family. The grounds also have a camp store with cafe, playground, and washer/dryer.
When you stay at Winton Woods Campground, you are also within walking distance of many of the park's amenities.
A short drive from the campground will also take you to the Winton Woods Riding Center and Parky's Farm. These are must-see stops when you are staying within this wonderful park retreat.
