The Felton Covered Bridge Park has long acted as a place for the community to gather together and immerse themselves in the utter beauty of the San Lorenzo Valley.
It's here that you'll discover the beautiful covered bridge that's located within the park. This isn't just any bridge, though. It's considered to be the tallest covered bridge in the entire country. In person, the thing is absolutely massive.
The bridge is 80 feet long and 35 feet tall. It's open to pedestrian use only, and makes for a nice little stroll through the park. You'll be surprised that the bridge is still in very good condition, despite being built back in 1892!
Back in the day, this bridge was the main mode of passage into Felton. It continued to be the main point of entry into town until 1937 when it turned into a pedestrian-only bridge.
