Located 8.5 miles north of Arcata, Clam Beach County Park is a little-known gem that boasts a quiet and expansive beach that you're bound to fall in love with.

You'll find the park just off of Redwood Highway 101 near McKinleyville. It's easily accessible from the freeway and contains two parking lots. However, you'll find that this is one of the most peaceful beaches you've ever visited.

Clam Beach has a little something for everyone. The beach is named after the fact that you can dig up plenty of razor clams, if that's your thing. Surfing, kite flying, wildlife viewing, and just relaxing are all common activities you can do on the beach.
