The hardest park about this hiking trail is getting to it. You'll get there by driving on the unpaved Davison Road from Highway 101. You'll reach the parking area after about 10 miles. Once you see the canyon, you'll be glad you endured the bumpy ride.
You'll find the trailhead near the top of the parking lot, along with some other information about the area. As you begin the trail, you'll be led through a dense forest of gorgeous moss-covered trees.
As the trail takes a turn, the stunning Fern Canyon is revealed to you. It's a glorious sight that simply can't be beat. Green foliage seems to cover every inch of the towering, 50-foot high canyon walls.
