California girls are unforgettable… so says Katy Perry. Turn on the TV and you’re bombarded with good looking people from our state. But, we know that Northern California girls are the bomb and way better than anyone south of our Bay Area border. Don’t believe us? Take a peek below and check for yourself. We’ve included quite a few handsome hunks to even the score.
1 Jessica Chastain
A NORCAL girl, Jessica was born in Sonoma County. She attended Julliard and went on to star in movies but really made her name in "The Help." She has her own production company "Freckles" and is an advocate for gender equality.
2. Natalie Wood
Born in San Francisco in 1938, actress Natalie Wood starred in the films Rebel Without a Cause with James Dean and in West Side Story as Maria. She drowned during a boating trip in 1981.
3. Molly Ringwald
If you're a male and over the age of 40 you DEFINITELY had a thing for Molly Ringwald. The 80s teenager thought she was a real cutie-pie. A high school graduate of Roseville High School, the Sacramento valley is where Molly Ringwald truly lived out her teenage years.
4. Tom Hanks
Actor Thomas Jeffrey Hanks was born on July 9, 1956, in Concord, California and his family settled not long after in Oakland, California where he attended high school. His junior college years he attended Chabot College in Hayward, later transferring to Cal State Sacramento where he began to seriously pursue acting and enrolled in the theater program there.
5. Tom Brady
Tom Brady may be the quarterback for the New England Patriots, but he got his start in Northern California. Born in San Mateo, he attended high school there before going to the University of Michigan.
6. Brie Larson
Brie has had a LONG acting career for her young years. She is well known for beginning her acting training at the tender age of 6 in San Francisco. Her parents must've seen something incredibly gifted in their daughter -- and they were right. Brie also went on tour for her musical talent with Jesse Mcartney.
7. Greta Gerwig
Greta was born in Sacramento. Went to Barnard College, where she majored in philosophy, wrote plays and was co-founder of an improv group called "The Tea Party Ensemble".
8. Summer Sanders
Summer was born in Roseville, the same town as Molly Ringwald. Summer began swimming at a very young age and went on to become a gold medal winner. She's kind of a big deal in the swimming world. Seriously.
9. Sam Elliott
Were not sure if it's his rugged good looks or his thick masculine voice. Either way, Sam Elliott deserves to be here. Born in Sacramento, he's a true blue Northern California boy.
10. Nia Sanchez
Would you believe Miss USA and the first runner up for the Miss Universe championship went to a young lady born in Sacramento? Yup. She's a winner in our book!
This part of our state isn’t lacking for pretty people. We grow them up good-looking around here. Not only that, but
we have LOTS of famous folks that are good looking, too. Some people have all the luck!
