This Hidden Destination In North Dakota Is A Secret Only Locals Know About

There are plenty of big and small towns all across North Dakota. Each has their own attractions and reasons to visit. Many are top destinations for various reasons, known regionally, statewide, or even nationwide. However, there are some hidden gems that only the locals know about and love. You may have heard of Wishek before and never gave it a second thought, but it deserves some more attention.

Other than the great outdoor areas, the town itself has some awesome stops. For a bite to eat, you can try the Wrangle Cafe and Grill on Beaver Avenue, or pull up to the McTwist Drive-In and grab a refreshing ice cream cone.

Camping is available at both the Beaver Lake State Park and Green Lake – part of which is the Doyle Memorial State Recreation Area.
